What does God say about starving to death?

The Bible tells us about two kinds of starvation, one caused by the lack of food absorbed by the body, Matt 25:35, “For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:” and the other from the lack of spiritual food absorbed by the soul, Matt 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” It is easy to understand that the physical body needs food and we have all seen pictures of starving children. However, recognizing a soul nearing death from a lack of God’s Word requires a more reasoned and thoughtful investigation. When Jesus said,

What does God say about children?

Psalm 127:3-4 “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.” God gives us children as part of His plan to create an eternal family, Gen 1:27-28, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” God has plans for all of us who willingly accept His offer to become part of His eternal fa

What does God say about free speech?

God asks us to reason before we use the freedom of speech He has given us, Eccl 5:2, “Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.” He wants us tochoose our words carefully, so His light is shared with as many as possible, Eph 6:20, “For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” When we spew out our first thoughts before we reason with them, we are more likely to spread the evil we have heard, than the truth of God’s Word, Prov 29:20, “Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.”

What does God say about the doors in our lives?

Jn 10:7, “Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.” All who choose to become sheep will find their way to the open door, Jn 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” and an eternal life with God the Father, Rev 3:8, “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” God sends His servants into this world looking for His lost sheep, even for those who deny His name, Mk 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to ev
