Alone

We are crying for someone to care. But, instead, this world keeps telling us we need to tell everyone how good we are and how wonderful our life is; when the truth is many feel alone. This world wants us to brag about ourselves, do drugs, and lie to each other, making us feel more isolated and alone. This is the core reason so many people commit suicide. They do not believe anyone truly loves them. Or, worse yet, they feel no one could ever truly love them since they are so worthless.

The truth is God understands this,“And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Gen 2:18 and has set a plan in motion where none who chooses to be part of the plan will ever be alone,“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer 29:11 He brought us the truth that He loves us unconditionally,“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jn 3:16 What more could He do to prove His love for us? What more does He have to do to show us how priceless we are in His eyes? We have the choice, which He has provided for us, to become one of His children,“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” Jn 1:12 a part of the eternal family,“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” 1 Jn 3:2

God tells us He will never leave us,“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Heb 13:5-6 and that means we do not need to fear anything or anyone,“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” Ps 118:6 Or, as Paul put it,“According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Phil 1:20-21 Paul is telling those who threaten him that if he lives, he will continue spreading the truth about Jesus, and if they kill him, he will be will Jesus. It is a win-win proposition that allows Paul to never fear those who hate Jesus and him by proxy.

If we would just share the truth of why Jesus came to save us, with our children, we would not have to worry about them committing suicide, for they would then have the hope of eternal life in His kingdom, where everyone loves everyone else. Love conquers all of our fears, including the fear of being alone. This is the message Jesus brought us,“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” Jn 13:34 This message can measure the worthiness of anything we are doing. If we lie to someone, are we truly loving them? If we hit someone, are we truly loving them? If we refuse to help someone in their time of need, are we truly loving them? Spread the truth of His love, not lies meant to lead us away from His love to the loneliness of our own imaginations.
